During WWE Elimination Chamber, the titular WWE Championship match came down to Kofi Kingston and defending champ Daniel Bryan. The two put on an incredible display that had the fans giving a standing ovation at the end. On SiriusXM’s Busted Open radio, Bully Ray explained why he thinks the company should run back the match at WrestleMania 35.
“I think I would have called an audible last night [and put Kofi over],” said Bully Ray. “The moment is now. The time is now. They won’t be able to capture last night after WrestleMania. This Tuesday comes, if Kofi isn’t mentioned or doing anything with Bryan? It’s over with.”
In fact, Bully Ray thinks it can bolster another star as well. “You know who you put into this storyline in the next 3-4 weeks? Mustafa Ali. Because Ali can be looking at Kofi and going, ‘That was my spot.’ He’s not saying it in a babyface way, he’s not saying it in a heel way, he’s just reminding Kofi that was his spot.”
