Singer and songwriter Erykah Badu receive lots of love for celebrating the mothers in her family— four generations back.
48-year-old Erykah is a proud mother herself as she takes to Instagram to post a short video clip in honor of the mothers in her family.
The video touched several hearts and received a lot of positive reviews from her fans and followers.

The short clip featured each generation of the Badu family herald in the next while Jack Stauber's "Peppermint" played on in the background.
First came Puma, Badu's 15-year-old daughter; she was followed by Badu herself, who introduced her mother, who, in like manner, also presented her mother. The post came equipped with a simple caption that read:
"Mom.' – ancestry in progress .15, 48, 70, 92."
The post comes a while after Erykah was shamed by fans at her Chicago concert when she expressed support for R.Kelly, who had been receiving a lot of heat due to the scandal accusing him as a sex offender.
The video featured her kids singing along with Frank Sinatra on his rendition of "High Hopes," as they navigated through traffic.
Erykah addressing the backlash her support attracted, took to her twitter page. She tweeted.
"I love you. Unconditionally. That doesn't mean I support your poor choices, that's all I've ever said. Anything else has been fabricated or taken out of context."
Now all seems to have been forgiven as her latest post, which is just a day old, has garnered an astonishing one million views as well as lots of positive comments from fans of the singer.
According to Essence, this is not the first time Badu's family will be capturing hearts. In 2016, a video of Badu's kids, Seven and Mars, went viral.
The video featured her kids singing along with Frank Sinatra on his rendition of "High Hopes," as they navigated through traffic.
A similar occurrence happened in 2018 when Puma, Badu's daughter, also impressed netizens when she belted out a song with near-perfect vocals during her mother's birthday bash.
"Happy Born Day Queenie. Flowers for Madre. 69 revolutions,"
The tribute was shared via her Instagram page with a loving selfie of Erykah and her mom, Kolleen.
