Echoes of Loss: Remembering Chad Bates Through Heartfelt Tributes
The sudden departure of Chad Bates has reverberated through the lives of his friends and family, evident in the heartfelt posts shared in his memory.
One friend reflected,
“Sunday, we lost a heck of a Nole, a player, a father and a husband. CHAD BATES, did not redshirt as he played all four years at offensive guard, beginning in the first championship year, 1993. He never redshirted as a father either as he and his wife battled and beat cancer with his little girl, over many years. You were always a good leader and a better person. Prayers and support go out to the Bates family.”
Similarly, another friend struggled to put his feelings into words,
“Not sure how to put this in words. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I will be forever thankful for you Chad Bates! Not only were you one of my best friends but you were more of a brother!! I will cherish all of our amazing memories together! We were always there for each other no matter what the circumstances were! I will always remember that big shit eating grin! Rest easy my friend “
May his spirit continue to resonate in the hearts of all touched by his presence.
