The number of children following in their father’s footsteps in pro wrestling is quite substantial. There’s Rocky Johnson and Dwayne Johnson, Rikishi and The Usos, Dusty Rhodes and Cody Rhodes, Sika and Roman Reigns, and the list goes on. The new entrant in the prestigious club could be from Kevin Owens’ family.
Kevin Owens shares family photo from WrestleMania 39
Like many wrestlers who attended WrestleMania 39, Kevin Owens also shared a backstage photo of his family. What was most noticeable from the picture was the sheer size of his son, Owen Steen.
While the exact measurements of the 15-year-old aren’t known, he’s considerably taller than his father’s billed vertical of 6ft. Steen also has his father’s width. The detail didn’t escape fans, who deemed him as a future WWE talent.
“Owen Owens, 2029 Royal Rumble winner,” a Twitter user wrote.

Another stated he’s a future superstar in the making.
Though time will tell if he makes it to the WWE or not, Owen Steen is a pro wrestling fan and often comes to support his dad during his matches. Kevin Owens, on the other hand, is a doting dad who takes immense care of his children’s safety.
In 2021, he shared a post on Twitter, celebrating his son’s 14th birthday. The Tag Team Champion also made a revelation that highlighted his dad duties.
This guy turned 14 today.
Fourteen. That’s also how tall he is in feet!
I couldn’t be more proud of him. He’s the best kid! I’m extremely lucky to be his dad.
You don’t have Twitter because I won’t let you on the cesspool that is social media but still…

He said his son didn’t use social media and doesn’t want to let his son “on the cesspool” that it was all about.
Kevin Owens and his son bond over a WWE legend
It is no secret that Kevin Owens’ son is a John Cena fan. The Canadian wrestler has himself stated it multiple times during his feud with The Cenation Leader early in his WWE career.
His life, however, came full circle as he teamed up with the 16x World Champion to take on the tag team of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on December 30 last year. It was Cena’s return match after over a year of being out of the ring due to his Hollywood commitments.
Speaking to TMZ Sports ahead of their match, Owens explained how it’s a “neat little thing” for him to partner Cena. The reason was none other than his son, Owen Steen.
“Me and my son will always have a little bond over John Cena. My son, as he was growing up, was a huge John Cena fan. When I signed my WWE contract, I told my son, ‘Maybe I’ll get to fight John Cena one day, then I did.’,” the WWE superstar said.
He also shared that while his son is not as big of a wrestling fan as he was, the 15-year-old is always excited about Cena’s match.

It will be interesting to see if Owen Steen, who was named after deceased Canadian wrestler Owen Hart, makes his wrestling debut in the future. In recent times, Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik Mysterio and Dwayne Johnson’s daughter Ava Raine have signed with the WWE, keeping their family legacy going.
