The animated series is preparing for its 7th season. They mentioned that Roiland is out for season 7. He has been part of the series since season one.
Authorities arrested Roiland with felony domestic battery and false imprisonment charges. He was detained in California in 2020.
Rick and Morty’s animator’s hearing has been scheduled for April 2023.
The felony domestic battery charges were against his then-partner. However, the victim’s name is kept in mystery.
Roiland’s attorney T Edward Welbourn publicly revealed that his client was innocent. He said:
Not only he (referring to his client Roiland) is innocent, but we also expect that this matter to be closed forever. We all will be relieved once the district attorney’s office completes its methodical review of the evidence.
Rick and Morty’s team was planning to fire their co-creator since he was charged; now, it has been officially done.
Also, many of Roiland’s text messages’ screenshots were leaked online.
The publicly out text clearly shows that the animator was blackmailing the kid and involved in many other illegal things.
However, text message verification is yet to be confirmed, as making fake messages through some apps is easy.
People also claimed that some of his haters might have edited it following his text went viral on many other social platforms.
Since the text’s accuracy is not confirmed, many viewers eagerly await the next hearing on April 2023.
Moreover, it is verified that Roiland will not be joining Rick and Morty any time soon.
The public showed outrage and shared negative comments as they were unhappy about having Justin in the show.
