Splatoon 3 adds a new locker decoration feature, allowing you to deck out your own locker with outfits, trinkets, stickers, and other fun stuff. At first you’ll start out with a small gray locker, but it’ll upgrade as you level up.
Our Splatoon 3 locker guide explains where to find your locker and how to upgrade it.
Update (Sept. 19): We’ve added more information about how to get an even bigger locker.
How to unlock and access lockers
Starting at player level four, you can head into the doors next to the capsule machine in the lobby. The windows and doors to this area might look grayed out from afar, but when you get closer, the fog will disappear and you’ll be able to see all the lockers inside. Your personal locker will be straight ahead past the doors.
The locker room will show popular creations, your friends’ lockers, and lockers of people you’ve played with.
How to make your locker bigger
You may notice that the locker you start out with is small, but your locker room may have bigger lockers from other players. Based on our play, your small locker will automatically upgrade to a bigger one when you achieve player level 15. According to several players on Reddit, an even bigger locker unlocks when you hit level 30, but we cannot confirm this for ourselves yet. We’ll update this guide when we can.
When we hit level 15, there was an exclamation point marker in our locker room, prompting us to see our big locker, which didn’t cost anything to upgrade. In-game text noted that Harmony’s locker shop, Hotlantis, would also start carrying new wares since we were looking more “fresh.”
After the shop rotated goods at 8 p.m. EDT, our shop also had a locker color to buy for the first time. We’re not 100% sure if locker colors are also gated behind achieving level 15 or if it appeared at that time by random chance.
