Cher wore metal braces on her teeth many years back to straighten them. I remember she she had them in whilst appearing on a chat show and spoke about them. She said they were coming out for the Oscars ceremony even if her teeth weren’t year fixed.

I have a cap on one of my upper front teeth - it matches pretty well because the dentist built the thickness into the back of it. The problem with older veneers was that they only shaved down the front of the teeth a little - so the added thickness to the front looks really odd and horsey.

R20 yeah, while it’s really creepy and a bougie waste of healthy strong teeth to file them down so much for veneers, I get why it’s done purely for the aesthetic.

As a kid/teen I had one natural peg tooth, one of my front molars, and I had a resin veneer put on it. It looks and feels totally natural, to the point I sometimes forget I have it, but maybe that’s because it’s just the one and the tooth under it was already so small and thin.

My front teeth have somehow become stained a little brown at the edges, despite the fact I clean diligently and don't smoke/drink/meth it up. All my teeth are also slightly yellow naturally--I could get finance to have them either straightened or whitened as a kid but not both. My hygienist says she'll try to fix it but isn't sure what if anything can be done.

It's forcing me to smile close-lipped, as if I'm smirking or smizing like a smartass 90s sitcom character. Wish I had the confidence to say fuck the beauty paradigm and not care. But I'm too self conscious to just bare them.
